Search teams in Vanuatu are looking for more than 30 people after the passenger ferry MV Matui sank while traveling between Ambae and Santo on Friday. Local news outlets reported the vessel had 47 people on board. The prime minister’s office said searchers rescued 15 survivors over the weekend and recovered one body. Officials said the search was continuing Monday, with crews shifting focus to a coastline where currents may have carried survivors.

Turkey
Turkish authorities say they have arrested 201 suspects in Turkey in a crackdown on an investment fraud network accused of stealing about $3 billion from victims worldwide. Officials said nine Israeli citizens were among those detained. They described the case as international, saying victims were drawn into a fraudulent investment network involving suspects in Turkey and people targeted around the world. The investigation is continuing.
Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe’s Constitutional Court is hearing a challenge over whether traditional leaders can allocate rural land, after a traditional chief challenged his arrest linked to informal land allocations. Those arrangements are known as sabhuku deals, meaning informal rural land allocation arrangements outside formal state control. The Zimbabwean government says the deals are illegal, and the court is expected to examine legislation governing rural land allocation. The dispute pits customary leaders against the central state and could affect authority over rural land across Zimbabwe.
