Cambodia
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet says his government has completely dismantled all large-scale cyber-scam compounds in Cambodia. Speaking at an international conference on combating online scams in Phnom Penh, he said, "As a result of our efforts, we have completely dismantled all large-scale scam compounds in the kingdom." Foreign governments and experts have challenged Cambodia’s response to the scam industry, saying authorities have not done enough against perpetrators and calling for criminal prosecutions.

Central African Republic
The International Criminal Court convicted former Central African Republic militia commander Mahamat Said Abdel Kani of crimes against humanity, including torture. ICC judges in The Hague delivered the verdict Wednesday in a case centered on his role running a Seleka detention facility in Bangui. Judges found that supporters of then-President Francois Bozize were rounded up and tortured there during the country’s 2013 civil war.

Iran
The IRGC said Brigadier General Hossein Zarifi, a senior commander, was killed during an operation against armed men in Sistan and Baluchestan province in southeastern Iran. Zarifi commanded the Shahid Sajjad Operational Base in Saravan. The IRGC said he died in clashes near Iran’s border with Pakistan, placing the killing in a frontier area where armed confrontations can increase security pressure on the province and on forces guarding the border.
