Afghanistan
Pakistan said it carried out airstrikes at 10 locations inside Afghanistan, a cross-border military move that deepened its standoff with the Taliban government in Kabul. Islamabad said the strikes were tied to Kabul’s failure to curb militancy along the Pakistan-Afghanistan frontier, where security tensions have been rising. For border communities, the fighting adds to insecurity and displacement and threatens daily commerce along trade routes that connect the frontier.

Bangladesh
Bangladesh is facing an escalating dengue fever outbreak, with more than 69,000 cases and more than 200 deaths reported so far this year. The Directorate General of Health Services says hospital admissions and fatalities are still rising, making the outbreak a growing strain on health services as more patients seek care. The figures point to a worsening public health crisis as dengue infections continue to climb across the country.
