Cambodia
Cambodia’s Border Affairs Secretariat asserted that Ta Muen Thom Temple is inside Cambodian territory, citing historical boundary records and maps tied to the Cambodia-Thailand border. The temple matters because it is a disputed site on that border, so Cambodia’s claim directly bears on the sovereignty dispute and its relations with Thailand. The secretariat pointed to a map at a scale of one to two hundred thousand, commission records from boundary pillar work in 1908 and 1919, and map L7017 at a scale of one to fifty thousand. It said L7017 was drawn unilaterally by Thailand and supports Cambodia’s position.
