Create your first game
Write the questions yourself, or describe the game and let AI draft them for you to edit.
A Lexy game is a set of questions, each with three answer options and one right answer. Lexy narrates it, so the same game plays on your pages, over a phone call and from a QR code. You can write every question yourself, or describe the game and let AI draft it for you to edit.
Start a game
- Click Create New Game in the header.
- At the top of the drawer, choose how to make the questions: Generate with AI or Write my own.
- Give the game a Game Title, then choose its Language (English, Spanish, Arabic or Turkish) and a Category.
Write my own
- Choose Write my own. Three blank question cards appear.
- In each card, type the question and its three answer options, then select the circle next to the right answer.
- Click + Add question for more, up to twenty at a time. Remove takes a card away. Blank cards are skipped.
- Click Create Game.
Lexy checks every question before it saves: three different options, one marked right, no question asked twice, and a quick check that the marked answer is actually correct. If anything needs a second look, nothing is saved and the message names the question to fix.
Your options keep the order you typed them in.
Generate with AI
- Choose Generate with AI.
- Pick the Number of Questions: 3, 5, 7 or 9.
- Under Describe Your Trivia Game, say what the game is about. The more specific you are about the subject, the difficulty and the style, the better the questions.
- Click Generate Trivia Game.
Lexy writes the questions, shuffles the options, and drops any it judges questionable or repeated. Everything it drafts can be edited afterwards, like any question you wrote. See Correct a question after it is live.
Both title and description fields have a microphone button, so you can dictate instead of typing.
Publish the game
A new game is saved as a draft, so you can read it over first. A draft can't be played, by phone or online.
- Open the game. You land on it after creating it, or click its title on My Games.
- Open the game's menu and choose Publish, then confirm.
The Public switch, on by default, lists the game on Lexy for everyone. Switch it off to keep the game to the places you put it.
Add more questions later
On the game page, click Add Question. The same question cards open, and what you add goes to the end of the game.
Put it in front of people
- On your page: click Create Widget on the game page. See Add Lexy to your site.
- By phone, QR code or a link: see Share a game by phone, QR code or link.
Common questions
Do I need AI to make a game?
No. Write my own makes a complete game with no AI writing at all. The only automatic step is the quick correctness check on save.
How is the narration made?
Lexy records each question in the game's language. For AI drafts that happens while the game is created; for questions you write, the first time the question is played.
Can I change the language of a game?
No. A game has one language. To offer the same game in another language, create a second game in that language.
