Plans, add-ons and billing
The publisher plan, the news brief add-on, and how to subscribe, manage or cancel.
Lexy has one plan for publishers, priced per site, with every feature included. The narrated news brief comes as an add-on to it. Your readers never pay: their Lexy accounts are free. This page covers what the plan includes, how to get it, and how to manage or cancel it. For today's prices, see Pricing.
The publisher plan
A site is one publisher website, or one client if you are an agency. The first site has its own price, and each additional site costs less. Every feature is on every site, with no tiers to compare.
The plan includes:
- Games, written by you or drafted by AI, and an Auto widget that makes a game from each article. See Create your first game.
- Narration and captions in English, Spanish, Turkish and Arabic.
- Every way to play: on your pages, by phone call, or from a QR code, with answers spoken or tapped. See Share a game by phone, QR code or link.
- Ads you sell and keep. See Run ads in your games.
- Reports for every game, widget and question, and My Players. See Read your game stats.
Each site also comes with a monthly allowance of games, plays and phone minutes, shared across all your sites. Pricing lists the current amounts.
Add-ons
| Add-on | What it is | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| News Brief | Lexy's narrated daily news brief with its quiz, embedded on your site in up to four languages. Lexy's newsroom produces every edition. | Create the widget, then click Contact for Pricing on it. See Put the news brief on your site. |
The news brief is priced for each publisher, so it has no price on the Pricing page.
Get a plan
Publisher accounts are by invite.
- On Pricing, click Request your invite.
- Fill in Full Name, Email Address, Phone Number and Where would you use Lexy?, tick the box to receive texts, and click Submit Request.
- Once your request is approved, Lexy emails you an invite code with a Create your account button.
- Click the button, enter the code and the phone number you gave, and click Get Started. The code works once, with that number.
- Fill in your details and Credit Card Details, then click Complete Signup. Your subscription starts and you are signed in.
For a group of sites or an agency, click Talk to sales on Pricing instead. Say what you want to launch, and the Lexy team puts together pricing that fits.
Manage your subscription
- Click your initials in the header, then My Profile.
- Find the Subscription card.
| Part | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Active | Your subscription is running and renews. After you cancel, it no longer reads Active. |
| Next Billing Date | When it renews. |
| View Payment History | Each payment, with its date, amount and whether it was paid. |
| Cancel subscription | Ends your subscription. See below. |
Change or cancel
To cancel, click Cancel subscription on the Subscription card, then Cancel Subscription. The subscription ends at the close of the billing period you have paid for, and you aren't charged again. Keep Subscription closes the box without changing anything.
These changes are made by the Lexy team rather than in your account:
- Adding or removing a site.
- Adding the news brief.
- Changing the card you pay with.
Click Contact Sales at the foot of any page, or write to support@lexy.fm.
Common questions
Do my readers pay anything?
No. Readers play for free, and their Lexy accounts are free. See Let readers sign in on your site.
Does Lexy take a share of my ad revenue?
No. What sponsors pay is yours. Lexy is paid by your subscription.
What does a free Lexy account include?
Playing games and keeping scores. Creating games and widgets needs the publisher plan. A free account that opens a publisher page is sent to Pricing, with a note that the page is part of the publisher tools.
